The School of Arts and Sciences on Thomasville Road is seeking applications for full-time Lead Teachers to work with an Associate Teacher in a Kindergarten/1st or 2nd/3rd grade multi-aged classroom of approximately 25 students. Applicants should be able to:
-Plan and execute rigorous, teacher created, hands-on thematic and project based lessons
-Implement and support instruction and assessment practices for a diverse group of students that reflect the Florida Standards and the principles of our Charter
-Work collaboratively with a diverse group of school colleagues, parents, community members and others to support and implement the goals of the school
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
Current Florida Teaching Certificate (Primary and/or Elementary) or Statement of Eligibility
Familiarity with the Florida Standards

The School of Arts and Sciences on Thomasville Road (SAST) uses an internal list of substitute teachers that is separate from the Leon County Schools substitute list. All substitute teachers must have an approved background check done through the Florida Clearinghouse. More information about the Clearinghouse can be found here. The typical school day is from 8:45 am – 3:45 pm. Pay is $16.00 per hour for approximately 7 hours per day, depending on the need.
