Substitute Teacher

The School of Arts and Sciences on Thomasville Road (SAST) uses an internal list of substitute teachers that is separate from the Leon County Schools substitute list. All substitute teachers must have an approved background check done through the Florida Clearinghouse. More information about the Clearinghouse can be found here.  If you would like to be added to the SAST substitute teacher list please provide a resume or cover letter by mail, hand delivery, or email to sasoffice@leonschools.net. Include your experience, class preferences, and the hours and days of your availability.

The typical school day is from 8:45 am – 3:45 pm. Pay is $16.00 per hour for approximately 7 hours per day, depending on the need.
